Research notes and caveats

帕特·西蒙兹（Pat Symonds，生于贝德福德）是英国 F1 资深工程师，牛津理工与克兰菲尔德深造，1976 年获车辆动力学硕士。职业生涯始于福特学徒，后在 Hawke、Royale 设计福特方程式赛车，1979 年加入托勒曼并随其改组为贝纳通、再转为雷诺，逐级升至比赛工程师、研发主管、技术总监、工程执行总监。1994/1995 年任舒马赫比赛工程师、2005/2006 年带领阿隆索，共助力多个世界冠军；2008 年因'撞车门'离队遭禁。此后历任维珍/玛鲁西亚顾问、威廉姆斯首席技术官、2017–2024 年任 F1 官方首席技术官（主导 2022 与 2026 技术规则）。2025 年起加入凯迪拉克车队任工程执行顾问。技术顾问，不是日常单车 RE。
