Pierre Wache (born 10 December 1974 in Auchel, France) holds a PhD in Fluid Mechanics from the Institut National Polytechnique de Lorraine, with his doctoral research focused on biomechanics (the interaction between blood cells and blood flow), and also studied at Georgia Tech in the United States. He entered motorsport in 2001 as a Michelin F1 tyre engineer, moved to BMW Sauber in 2007 as a Vehicle Dynamics Performance Engineer, and was promoted to Head of Vehicle Performance at Sauber in 2010 after BMW's withdrawal. He joined Red Bull Racing in 2013 as Chief Engineer, was promoted to Head of Vehicle Dynamics/Performance Director later that year, and has served as Technical Director since 2018. Following Adrian Newey's departure in 2024/25, he became the sole and central technical leader of Red Bull's technical organisation.
