Research notes
Adrian Newey is regarded as the greatest race car designer in F1 history. After graduating with first-class honours in Aeronautical Engineering from Southampton University in 1980, he joined Fittipaldi, gained further experience at March (IMSA, CART IndyCar) and Leyton House, and then, at Williams, McLaren, and Red Bull, designed cars that won more than a dozen Constructors' Championships combined. In 2025 he joined Aston Martin as Managing Technical Partner.

The F1.com 2026 team-boss overview lists Newey as Aston Martin team principal;
Lawrence Stroll is the owner/executive chairman — not Red Bull, and not an engineering background.
