Fred Vasseur is a French engineer and team manager who graduated from ESTACA (aerospace and automotive engineering) in 1995. He started out with go-karts and F3 engines, founded the ASM team in 1996, and co-founded ART Grand Prix with Nicolas Todt in 2004, nurturing champions such as Hamilton and Rosberg in the junior formulae. He first entered F1 in 2016 at the helm of Renault, then led Sauber/Alfa Romeo, and has been Team Principal of Ferrari since 2023.

public sources often mention an engineering education background, but his current role at Ferrari is essentially managerial.
