Research notes
Publicly listed in the Team Members section of the official FIA Formula 2 team page. A native of Tours, he passed his science baccalauréat and briefly studied for a DUT in Poitiers before switching to a vocational diploma in automotive repair, followed by training at the FFSA Academy in Le Mans. He was employed as a mechanic at ART Grand Prix from 2014, resigning at the end of 2019 to join a car dealership in Tours (with a brief break for a back injury). In March 2022 he returned to ART as a freelancer, working on Victor Martins' F3 car and helping him win the 2022 FIA F3 title;
he has remained with the team since, now working as ART's F2 mechanic. A September 2022 profile in La Nouvelle République gives a detailed account of this mechanic from Blois (spelled Dimitry in the article): he was hired by ART Grand Prix straight out of the FFSA Academy in Le Mans in 2014, resigned at the end of 2019, returned to ART as a freelancer in March 2022 to work on Victor Martins' F3 car and win the F3 title, and hoped to move up to F2 with ART the following year;
this is consistent with the FIA F2 official site listing Dimitri Dupont as a member of ART's mechanic team. No LinkedIn profile for him could be found.
