Research notes
Leo Thomas comes from an engineering background. He joined the Peugeot Le Mans LMP1 programme in 2008 as a data analyst and was promoted to Race Engineer, then moved to Sebastien Loeb Racing as Technical Manager in 2012. He joined the DS Formula E programme in 2016, progressing from DS Techeetah to DS PENSKE and rising to Sporting Director. Since 2024 he has served as Stellantis Motorsport Formula E Programme Director, succeeding Thomas Chevaucher, responsible for powertrain development for both DS PENSKE and Maserati MSG. Note: this is a Stellantis manufacturer-level role spanning both teams, not a DS PENSKE team-specific position.
