David Clarke joined Mahindra Racing in September 2019 (immediately after clinching the Formula E Teams' and Drivers' double title with DS Techeetah), initially as Team Manager and subsequently rising to Operations and Sporting Director, overseeing strategic planning and long-term objective setting. His career started as a Cosworth apprentice (HND in Mechatronics) and progressed through Mercedes HPP F1 engine prototype development, McLaren F1 wind tunnel operations, and Chief Engineer of HWA's DTM programme. He holds Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean Practitioner qualifications.
